ぐるなびは8月4日、日替わりクーポンサイト「Piku」を運営するピクメディアと提携し、グルメ専用のクーポン共同購入サイトを9月に始めると発表した。リニューアルや新規オープンする飲食店に、販促の一環で活用してもらう。 両社で新たに、グルメ関連のクーポンを専門に扱うサイトを作り、「外食業界にとって真に価値のあるクーポンのあり方を追求」するという。ユーザーには「お得な外食の楽しみ方を提供する」としている。 クーポンの共同購入サイトは、米国の「Grupon」が原型。飲食店などを割安に利用できるクーポンを時間限定で販売し、購入希望者が予定数集まった時点で取引が成立する仕組みだ。 Pikuは、国内初のGroupon型サービスとして今年4月にスタート。同様のサービスは、リクルートの「Pomparade」など国内でも林立している。
