中國疫情真相 川普：永遠不會知道
雖然川普支持習近平的緊急措施，但川普也承認，外界無從得知中國的疫情實質。
在2020年2月13日播出的iHeart電台採訪中，川普被問到中共是否發布有關疫情的真相時，川普說：「好吧，你永遠不會知道。」他還說，北京政府想要對外面擺出最好的形象。
在美中合作方面，美國疾病預防與控制中心（CDC）早在1月6日便首次向中方提出派遣美國專家前往中國，協助了解疫情。但直到2月中旬，美國的傳染病專家才獲得中共當局的許可進入。
美國國國務卿蓬佩奧（Mike Pompeo）2020年2月18日表示，中共「花了太長時間」才讓美國專家至中國協助，他敦促北京在流行病肆虐的情況下提高開放度。
