Le algebra elementari[1] es le generalisation del arithmetica. Illo differe del algebra abstracte proque illo se tracta del structura mathematic e notiones de "operationes", e del "numero" in general. Illo differe etiam del arithmetica perque un littera es utilisate como representante de numero, e ille littera se appella variabile. Isto se applica le plus frequentemente con respecto al numeros real: ben que le mesme regulas pertine a omne corpores, le algebra de altere corpores non es elementari.
