Freedom of panorama and two images

With respect to File:Phipps - 001.JPG and File:Phipps - 003.JPG, there isn't any wiggle room for this. These are blatant copyright violations. In the United States, there is no freedom of panorama with respect to three dimensional works of art. Please see Freedom_of_panorama#United_States. These works of art by glass sculpturist Dale Chihuly are not incidental to the images in question, but the focus of the images and therefore fail the de minimis requirement, whereas an image such as File:Joslyn Atrium North.jpg does not suffer this problem as the sculpture is de minimis to the entire image. These are unquestionably blatant fails. Photographs of sculptures in the United States are routinely deleted from Commons. These are no different. --Hammersoft (talk) 16:48, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

PD review

Hi!

I write to you because you are listed here Commons:PD_files/reviewers#List_of_PD_reviewers.

The Category:PD files for review was flooded some time ago and perhaps therefore PD review seems to have stopped. After some discussion on Commons_talk:PD_files#Has_review_stopped? the category has been cleaned up.

Perhaps you would like to come back and take a look at some of the remaining files?

Advice

Hello! User Greco22 (talk · contribs) has over the past few days uploaded a great many pictures of Greek flags and city logos. He claims that they are self-made, but they are manifestly just copied from websites (esp. re the flags, from here). So how exactly do we proceed here? Are the specific reproductions of the historical flags covered by copyright? The city seals will most probably not be free, too. Constantine ✍ 15:25, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

ανεβασα για δοκιμη το σημα της πατρας στην αγγλικη βικιπεδια,εχοντας ως οδηγο το αντιστοιχο των αθηνων-ριξε αν θες μια ματια στο αρθρο

Geocoding suggestion

Regarding this edit, when a coordinate is given as a number of degrees west, you need to add a minus if you're doing away with the 'west' bit - i.e. {{coor d|52.386523|N|1.556317|W|scale:1000|region:GB}} should convert to {{Location dec|52.386523|-1.556317|scale:1000_region:GB}} - because when there's no 'W' the longitude is interpreted as being to the east. Advice on propaganda

Hello! I don't know if you are aware of this guy and his work here. He has uploaded a series of maps, mostly self-made or edited, without any source cited, on the ethnic composition of Greek Macedonia. It is obvious that this is a POV-warrior (his own page declares that he wants to present "the truth" on Macedonia and Greece), and with contributions such as this and this, he is not exactly furthering encyclopedism and NPOV... In the English WP, he'd be blocked on sight, but here the rules are different... What can be done about him? Constantine ✍ 15:01, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
