  • Cosy crimes
In this episode of Untidy, Matty and Hannah (Bean) let the wheels come off completely as they settle in for an in-person sofa session, a glass of kombucha, and a potent case of end-of-day delirium. They discuss how Warkworth is ripe for a cosy crime and how Matty’s the next Miss Marple, Hannah’s ADHD diagnosis and how she feels about it, how Art’s motivational morning text gave them both the boost they needed, and, a few hot takes of what they’re watching and listening to. Get ready for a giggle — if they can be this b*tched on kombucha, don’t give them a spicy marg ...! • "Have you tried shutting the f*** up?"
In this episode of Untidy, Matty, fresh from her first week as a working woman at The Hits, and Hannah, fresh from her periodic mullet removal, try a new self-development trend — shutting the f*** up (just not for the next 40 minutes at least). Both the girls get a sobering callout for their parenting techniques from their sons, Hannah talks through her confronting ADHD diagnosis process, and Matty gets left ‘on seen’ after an awkward voice note by the ex from ‘that poo story’. Hannah’s ex reminds her of a memorable night sneaking into a place they probably shouldn’t have, and she reveals a hot spot in Christchurch for great date juju. • Babies, bowel cancer, and badassery with Elise Johns
In this episode of Untidy, Matty and Hannah chat to Elise Johns, a rural mum of three, gym owner, personal trainer, and adventure racer who, at 37 years old and 24 weeks pregnant, was diagnosed with stage three bowel cancer. *Trigger warning: While Elise’s story has a happy and triumphant ending, baby loss is discussed, so please listen when the time is right and seek support if needed. Elise’s story is one of heartbreak, resilience, advocacy and grit. She shares her experience of navigating the grief of losing a baby at 19 weeks. Then, with her next pregnancy, Elise had to push for a bowel cancer diagnosis when doctors dismissed her symptoms. Elise battled through chemotherapy while pregnant until giving birth, underwent surgery, and had further chemotherapy. Then, she decided to enter the Coast to Coast to inspire her recovery and comeback. Elise talks about the importance of advocating for your health, the lessons she’s learnt about stress and resilience, gratitude, and why she’s more determined than ever to make the most of life. This episode is raw, inspiring, and full of important takeaways about grief, health, advocacy, and the power of the human spirit. • Matty gets trolled, hot bots, and Bean’s Best Burns
In this episode of Untidy, Matty and Hannah creep around in the undergrowth with internet trolls, talk AI robots that need to calm down, and share the unbridled joy of Tom Hiddleston dancing to Rasputin (on repeat). Matty accidentally finds herself in an eye-gazing threesome, and, Hannah launches a new segment called, ‘Bean’s Best Burns’, sharing an interaction that demonstrates the dating scene still provides more pod content than it does connections. Matty’s torn between excitement and apprehension as she heads back into the workforce but is ready to embrace the perks of being the least favourite parent.
