Appearance
Chorus Graecus (Graece χορός) est massalis actorum inter se similium in dramata classica prodeuntium grex, qui actionem dramaticam una voce interpretatur.[1] Quod genus chori primum in quinquaginta actoribus constitit, quorum numerus deinde ad decem a Sophocle deminutus est, iterum ad quindecim ab Euripide in tragoediis auctus.[2] Sunt autem 24 actores in comoediis, in quibus chorus nonnullis artibus utitur, sicut cantu, saltatione, narratione, gestibus.[3] In Aeschyli Agamemnone chorus senibus Argivis, sed in Euripidis Bacchis grege Baccharum, atque in Sophoclis Electra mulieribus Argivis continetur.
