New name for his knee strike maneuver

Grand Slam Rollins

edit

Shouldn't "Grand Slam Rollins" be placed on his Nicknames article? He called himself that on the Raw post WM 34, and even said it had a nice ring to it. Even if it was a one-night only, he was called that by the announcers. 2804:14D:BAD4:8AE8:A099:5FF1:C2C3:B3D1 (talk) 03:36, 17 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Image from this article to appear as POTD soon

edit

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Seth Rollins holds Money in the Bank briefcase at a WWE house show in January 2015.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on 22 December 2018. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2018-12-22. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Thanks  — Amakuru (talk) 13:16, 17 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Seth Rollins is the ring name of Colby Daniel Lopez (born 1986), an American professional wrestler. He has been signed to WWE since 2010, having previously wrestled for Ring of Honor under the ring name Tyler Black. He debuted on WWE's main roster at the 2012 Survivor Series as part of a faction called The Shield, winning his first main roster championship while with the group, the WWE Tag Team Championship with Roman Reigns.

Hello, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, over the next couple of days. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful.

If nominators or editors could refrain from updating the particular section that I am updating until it is complete, I would appreciate it to remove a edit conflict. Please address concerns in the section that has been completed above (If I've raised concerns up to references, feel free to comment on things like the lede.)

I generally provide an overview of things I read through the article on a first glance. Then do a thorough sweep of the article after the feedback is addressed. After this, I will present the pass/failure. I will use strikethrough tags when concerns are met. Even if something is obvious why my concern is met, please leave a message as courtesy.

Best of luck! you can also use the {{done}} tag to state when something is addressed. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 11:18, 21 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please let me know after the review is done, if you were happy with the review! Obviously this is regarding the article's quality, however, I want to be happy and civil to all, so let me know if I have done a good job, regardless of the article's outcome.

  • Automated note - If you fancy returning the favour, I have outstanding GA nominations that require reviewing at WP:GAN. I'd be very grateful if you were to complete one of these, however it's definately not manditory. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 07:17, 11 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
    • Hi Ducktech89 there is quite a bit above. I've nearly completed, but there is things that really need addressing. Could you take a look and make the changes? If not, I'll have to fail this one, there's quite a few issues, specifically WP:INUNIVERSE, bad wording and attribution of quotes. Criticism section

edit

Genuine question: Is the criticism section really that notable? There are other situations of people receiving legitimate heat that aren't even noted on said heat's subject's articles (e.g. John Cena and The Rock's public comments toward each other prior to their feud, Candice Michelle and Melina, etc.). Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter subsequently expressed annoyance that Lopez keeps "putting his foot in his mouth". Are we going to annotate every time wrestling reporters are annoyed at something? KyleJoantalk 12:42, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

RfC about the criticism section

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

Is the recently-added criticism section significant enough to put in the article? KyleJoantalk 16:38, 12 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

The section only contains the Ospreay situation and nothing more. KyleJoantalk 03:41, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Please refrain from moving and retitling section until RfC is complete. KyleJoantalk 03:41, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Please refrain from such blanket reverts. My edits had hardly anything to do with the section in question and nothing with actual issue: retain or delete the section. Str1977 (talk) 13:22, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Your edit voids the specific section link named in the RfC (i.e., Seth Rollins#Criticism), which confuses editors as to which section is being discussed. Also, use American spelling. KyleJoantalk 16:07, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Str1977: You stated that you'd like to move the section being discussed, which you proceeded to do without consensus. Doing so before this RfC is complete is premature due to the possibility of other editors opining otherwise. KyleJoantalk 16:26, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
My edits came before I even was aware that there is an RfC. I included some of my edits in my comments here but main issue is keep or delete the section. If we delete it, as you prefer, it doesn't matter anyway. I have now restored the original name of the section but your blanket reverts are unacceptable. Str1977 (talk) 16:31, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
While we're mainly discussing the section's content, its placement is also significant because the RfC began with it existing as its own section, therefore, moving and changing it into a subsection confuses the discussion. It also does not matter what I prefer; we're trying to achieve consensus. KyleJoantalk 16:40, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Engagement

edit

KJ, which day do you think "Happiest day of my life. For the rest of my life." [2] refers to? And even if it were not that date, the "announcement" is completely irrelevant. We should report events and facts, not announcements. Str1977 (talk) 16:35, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

We should report events and facts, not announcements. Not when we don't know when said events and facts take place.
KJ, which day do you think "Happiest day of my life. For the rest of my life." . . . refers to? I don't know because she never stated which day; she only made the announcement stating the event made whatever day the engagement was the happiest day of her life. KyleJoantalk 16:44, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
If we do not know the exact date, then we make the date more vague. WP is cluttered up left, right and center by these constant announcements. Sometimes entire articles consist of nothing but announcements.
As for the day: it is highly unlikely that Becky got engaged and then waited an unknown number of days before tweeting about it. Str1977 (talk) 09:37, 19 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
How do you propose we make the date vaguer? As for the day: it is highly unlikely that Becky got engaged and then waited an unknown number of days before tweeting about it. Isn't this speculative? Isn't the most accurate statement the one where we annotate the announcement since the exact engagement date isn't known? KyleJoantalk 10:26, 19 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
It's not speculation but rather using common sense.
How can we make it vaguer (which I don't think we have to, if we use common sense)? We could just note the month but since you refuse common sense, you could probably respond by speculating that we don't know they got (sic!) engaged in August. Maybe, they have been egaged for ten years and only now "announced" it. Who knows - it's all unclear, according to you!
{{tq|Your "most accurate statement" is also the most irrelevant. Announcements by themselves do not warrant inclusion.

Maybe, they have been egaged for ten years and only now "announced" it. Who knows - it's all unclear, according to you! All of this is correct. I'm glad you understand. Can you direct me to the guideline where it says any announcement whatsoever does not warrant inclusion in WP:BLP? I'm having trouble finding it. Putting an unsourced engagement date would mean that that piece of information does not adhere to WP:OR or WP:V; I don't know about you, but I'd like to adhere to both WP:OR and WP:V. Have not said if baby is boy or girl

They have not officially stated if Roux is a boy or a girl. The name can be used for either sex. Roux roughly translates to "ginger". Maybe because of reddish hair, or the half Irish heritage. Until they announce if it is a boy or girl, I don't think it is right to assume the baby's gender. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.99.184.13 (talk) 22:36, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

NXT title a "TOP" 3 Championships?

Strange note in the opening about how he's held WWE's "Top" 3 championships. NXT is pretty much unofficially a developmental brand and by no means is their championship considered a "Top" prize in the company in my opinion. Zahra Schreiber section gone?

edit

Any reason why every mention of the Zahra Schreiber scandal is gone? Pretty sure it's frowned upon here to remove controversies for no reason other than to make the subject look better. It wasn't a nice thing that he did, but it was notable and a subject's article shouldn't prioritize being squeaky clean over being factual. Winditaround (talk) 08:54, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
