can any body explain scale parameters in simpler form
Poor definition
editThe definition doesn't take into account:
- other possible parameters (there is only one in the formulas)
- discrete distributions (with no density function). The definition should use cdf instead.
- distributions with expected value different than 0. According to the current definition standard deviation is a scale parameter of the normal distribution only if μ=0
- multivariate distributions
