Eldershaw quote
editI must say I dislike the Eldershaw quote about ‘the first time it was disturbed by the sounds of the laborers axe since the creation’. It really seems to perpetuate the terra nullius myth. Aboriginal people had stone axes and no doubt this was far from the first time a tree was felled near Sydney Cove in 30,000 + years of occupation!
