To Liv
editLiv Ullmann is and has always been my favorite actress and one of my favorite people. She has been a role model for me my whole life. Like a big sister. I am fortunate enough to resemble her a bit, though I am Irish, not Norwegian, but close enough (Viking cousin I suppose). I hope she continues to produce her wonderful projects. She has always been a good inspiration for me, and through her I see my own beauty and endless possibilities. I love who she is as a person and as an invaluable actress and cinematographer. Through all me own personal life's trials, it has been partly due to her strengths and qualities which I in a sense has drawn upon, that I have remained a happy person throughout my lifetime, despite problems, Live has demonstrated beautifullt how a woman can stay a lady and maintain her persona and composure, the way a lady should do do. I hope I meet her someday. She has been a muse for me as a writer, a woman, and an actress. I have become all things through her as a mirrored image and a spirit sister. Thank you, Liv, mange takke, su micket. correspondense welcome to me at <heirishprincess@yahoo.com> —Preceding unsigned comment added by Achillisa (talk • contribs) 18:58, January 28, 2007 (UTC)

Japanese-born?
editWell, she is only a Norwegian actress born abroad: Japanese nationality law does not adopt the principle of jus soli, so she's never been a Japanese citizen. The term "Japanese-born" seems to be too strong to apply to this case: I remove it. 82.52.179.192 (talk) 13:28, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Religion
editCan we add a "religion graph" in the main tab. Kind of like the signal bars on a cell phone... to indicate how christian she is/was. It is simpler than having to read all her bio to find out. It could be a percentage or a number between 0 and 1, like the gini index on countries' main tabs. Very useful when WW3 starts! - Here's a direct quote from Ullmann: "I was six, and we had been in Japan, then we went to Toronto, where there were many British and Norwegian pilots, and my father was a civil engineer. According to my mother, my father walked into the propeller of a plane. I didn't think you could survive that, but apparently he did for a year and then he died." Categories
editPeople seem very fond of adding dozens of categories to the article, but having been born to Norwegian parents in Tokyo, where her father worked as an engineer for a while when she was born, then having lived for a while on a Norwegian air base on an island near Toronto, where her father served during WW II, and now, at an advanced age, living in Boston, does IMHO not make her an actress/film director from Tokyo, Toronto and/or Boston, as the categories claim... - Tom | Thomas.W talk 21:37, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

editAccording to the german and the dansk wikipedia Ullmann and her second husband Donald Saunders obtained a divorce in 1995. Maybe someone can find a reliable source for this.--Beckmann&co (talk) 16:34, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
