Better photographs
editThe photographs from the US Army Field Manual that illustrate many of the grappling and hand-to-hand combat articles serve their basic purpose, but I feel they are rather drab and sometimes hard to understand since the black and white makes it hard to distinguish limbs (I guess that's what you'd expect with camouflage fatigues).
I am planning on taking higher quality color photos of these with my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Eduardo de Lima at Gracie Barra Tampa. Those posing for the photos will be wearing different colored outfits, such as blue and white gis or white and black rashguards. I plan on creating a collection of pictures to use as grappling references, starting with the major ground fighting positions and submissions (armlocks, chokes, etc.).
If you have any requests or suggestions, please let me know and I'll do my best to help out.

Could we add MMA to the examples section? The guard is more of a neutral position in MMA (a good source being Renzo Gracie's 'Mastering Jujitsu' book. Also maybe adding that the guard is an inferior position in wrestling rules. Chaos0mega 00:53, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
What is "Budo Moussaraa"?
editThis term keeps appearing not only on this page, but also some others grappling related articles. It seems it is an asian MMA gym and it just doesnt make any sense to be here. 2804:14D:6886:45E5:D1C6:F359:E220:7765 (talk) 02:17, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
