Camas Prairie near Vancouver WA

edit

I know it's not listed on USGS, because I already looked at Topozone's search index, and it's been years since I've been down I-5, but I recall an exit in the Vancouver WA area for Camas Prairie; or maybe Something-else Prairie I guess; but could it be a subdivision/neighbourhood name that's not indexed on USGS (like many in most cities)? I know I've seen Camas on an exit sign for sure, and I know I've seen something-Prairie; maybe I'm fuzzy on remembering them combined. There are camas patches in BC, too, but because they tend to be in mountain country "prairie" is hardly the word that would be used ;-)Skookum1 06:28, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Camas prairie" in either Oregon or Washington?

edit

I am having trouble finding any source that refers to either the Camassia Natural Area in Oregon and the Dishman Hills Natural Resources Conservation Area in Washington as "camas prairie." If such sources cannot be found, maybe they should be deleted from the article as they are not named "camas prairie" as the introductory paragraph states. Paul H. Removed sections for Washington and Oregon without direct "camas prairie" associations

edit

Given their lack of any specific association with the name "camas prairie," I removed the sections for Washington and Oregon. I found additional locations called "camas prairie" in the Geographic Names Information System. Howvever, none of the had sources that indicated any of them being notable enough to included in an Wikipedia article and could provide a suitable description of them. They all are place names on USGS topographic maps that lack any information about them and lack any documented cultural and scientiific significance. Paul H. (talk) 20:07, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
