Help Me

[edit]

{{helpme}}

How do I add my contribution to a project or get involved in one? I believe the Schloss Eggenberg (Graz) page and the Hans Ulrich von Eggenberg pages go with the Wikiproject Holy Roman Empire or Austria-Hungary.

I expect you might want Wikipedia:WikiProject Austria, and to join it, you just add your name to the 'Members' part. To get involved, read their talk page, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Austria. To find other projects, either browse projects, or look on article talk pages - for example, if you go to Talk:Holy Roman Empire, you will see that that article is listed in lots of projects; you can visit those and join up in a similar way.
For more help, you can either;
  • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
  • Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
  • Talk to us live, with this or this.
Best wishes,  Chzz  ►  20:36, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I saw your question at the New Contributor's Help Page so I'm responding here like you asked. I don't see the difference between "altitude" and "elevation" so I don't fully understand your question, but I would recommend asking at template talk:infobox building if they can add a parameter for you. Further questions? let me know! Fleetflame 20:13, 3 September 2009 (UTC) [reply]

Does anyone know why an image won't appear on this page when linked to? The image SchlossEggenbergR18.jpg‎ for some reason doesn't appear though it shows up in the German version.

That's because the image doesn't exist here: File:SchlossEggenbergR18.jpg‎. The image needs to be uploaded locally or moved to the Wikimedia commons in order for us to use it. Hersfold (t/a/c) 05:15, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

that's strange since it shows up on the German version of the page... Smf77 (talk) 13:14, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

House of Eggenberg

[edit]

Servus,

I think, that we have same problem with article House of Eggenberg and with same user, who trolled article. He is probably teenager (as can be seen with his spelling "genaology", "waning readers" etc.).

Empire of Brazil FAC is now open

[edit]

Empire of Brazil is now a Featured Article candidate. Since you're part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Former countries/Empires bureau, your opinion (either as support or oppose) is welcome. Here is the page: Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Empire of Brazil/archive1. Kind regards, --Lecen (talk) 01:00, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User: Gryffindor

[edit]

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get a user band who is a nuisance at best and more of a menace with the continued renaming and moving of articles about which s/he clearly knows nothing? Smf77 (talk) 18:08, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That might be, however this is the English Wikipedia and normally English has to be used whenever possible. cheers Gryffindor (talk) 18:20, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cistercians, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rein Abbey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
