 | This user account is a bot operated by Android Mouse (talk). It is used to make repetitive automated or semi-automated edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually, in accordance with the bot policy. This bot does not yet have the approval of the community, or approval has been withdrawn or expired, and therefore shouldn't be making edits that appear to be unassisted except in the operator's or its own user and user talk space. Administrators: if this bot is making edits that appear to be unassisted to pages not in the operator's or its own userspace, please block it. |
This bot fixes broken links to commonly archived pages, such as WP:AN and WP:VP. For example, a link such as Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)#Section name, will become broken the next time that page is archived and the section 'Section name' is removed. This bot finds the date that link was added. It then goes to that same date on the Village pump and finds the last date that section existed. It then updates the page that has the bad link and changes the link to that last revision on the Village pump, or the page the link pointed to.
