Change of category
[edit]As a result of a campaign by an editor, Laurel Lodged, who has moved dozens of GAA articles without discussion or consensus, this Tipperary hurler is no longer listed in the category Tipperary hurlers, which has been deleted. A new category, "Tipperary GAA hurlers", has been created exclusively for Tipperary, out of line with every other GAA county which is listed in the format "county hurlers". Brocach (talk) 00:27, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
What on earth are you fighting over?
[edit]What a silly editwar is this? The facts:
- Drom, County Tipperary is nothing more than a redirect to Drom, North Tipperary
- Category:Sportspeople from North Tipperary versus Category:Sportspeople from County Tipperary. This not about for what county someone plays, it is about where a player lives. It is quite possible that a player lives in North Tipperary but plays for Tipperary GAA. Remember: GAA-counties are not always equal to geographican counties. And in this case is county Tipperary split into two administrative counties: South Tipperary and <drumbeat> North Tipperary.
I must say that it is quite hilarious to see Brocach's appeals to start a discussion on the talkpage! I don't see a single letter from him on this talkpage regarding to this silly editwar. The Banner talk 18:12, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- I added a reference which says he played for Tipperary, hopefully that will be the end of it. Darkness Shines (talk) 18:13, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
