Life and Death of John Broome

[edit]

His obit ran here http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/obituary-john-broome-1096133.html It mentions his passing in 1999, obvs, and the location of said passing in Chaing Mai Thailand.

I would make the edit myself, but I have no idea how. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jack Acid Society (talkcontribs) 06:49, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Early career of John Broome

[edit]

This article states that John Broome's first known work for DC was in All-Flash #22, May 1946. I have a copy of All-Flash #18, Spring 1945, which appears to be autographed by him. This suggests to me that his first work for DC was earlier than All-Flash #22, OR that the signature on my copy of #18 is a forgery, OR that Broome autographed comics that he was not in. I did not personally procure the autograph, and am uncertain, at this distance from the event, who did. It would, however, have been before the late 1960s. I would be happy to upload a copy of the cover with autograph to the author of this article, if interested. I am not trying personally to edit this page, only to draw to the attention of the author a piece of information that may help. I hope this is one of the functions of the "talk" page. I apologise if this is not how these things are done! Gazperson (talk) 04:32, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Gary Mason (gazperson@hotmail.com)[reply]
