Photo
[edit]I've got a photo I took of Jon in 2006 and would be happy to donate it to the public domain but, I have no idea how to upload, link or submit a picture to Wikipedia. Explain like I'm 5, and I'll upload it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.177.48.121 (talk) 15:30, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

[edit]"2 September 2005, The Register published news that DVD Jon had hacked encryption in Microsoft's Windows Media Player by reverse engineering a proprietary algorithm ostensibly used to protect Media Player NSC files from hackers sniffing for the files' source IP address, port or stream format; Johansen had also made a decoder available."
I know it is rather worthless now and I don't need a link or anything, I'm just curious about whether that actually ever occurred, because I have never seen anything actually referring to it other than that article or other things referring to that article.
18:01, 21 June 2006 (UTC) maybe we need to mention SharpMusique?
DVD Jon or DVD-Jon?
[edit]Both are used here. Theshibboleth 22:03, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Since it's a nickname, I don't see why it really matters. --Gloriamarie 20:58, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Moved back to Norway
[edit]The article states that Jon lives in San Francisco but his blog notes that in November 2006 he moved back to Norway. I'm not editing the article as I don't have more info. Boguslinks 01:26, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Quit first year of high school?
[edit]6 years ago when he first got prosecuted he was 18, he was probably getting into his first year in college. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.196.60.16 (talk) 14:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC) diffrent school systems maybe? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.25.184.155 (talk) 21:07, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- Correct. The U.S. differs from the European educational systems. In Norway, the first 10 years is called primærskole (primary school), followed by three years of videregående skole (analogous to high school), thereafter one may proceed to universities, colleges etc. --Lipothymia (talk) 15:01, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
is this a bio or resume?
[edit]seems like this is more a resume/brag page —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.243.21.214 (talk) 13:53, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
