Lions in High Street

[edit]

Berwick has changed considerably since I grew up there and the bypass means I rarely go through the main street any more, but aren't there TWO lions in the main street? I remember it became something of a tradition for them to end up painted various shades of purple or pink on New Year's Eve though I think one that has long since faded.

As far as I know there is only one... although I haven't looked that closely. --Crazycrazyduck 06:22, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Should there be a more modern image of Berwick? Crested Penguin 00:56, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The lions do end up with a bone or empty beer bottle stuck in their mouth occasionally. I suppose all animals need to eat and drink. 220.253.55.80 11:18, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Berwick Calisthenics Club

[edit]

I have removed a section on the Berwick Calisthenics Club (for now) as I have been unable to establish that the club is any more notable than the multitude of other sporting clubs in Berwick. I'm working up to a major rewrite of the article and perhaps we could work this club in under notable sporting clubs if it is indeed such. However I'm wary of such a section degenerating into a long list of external links. --DTGHYUKLPOQWMNB 14:05, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good work, looked like a bit of an ad anyway. Orderinchaos 15:42, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't there some giant hospital or something there? It was featured in a Hindi film. Namaste. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.72.17 (talk) 11:22, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
