Birth?

[edit]

According to FreeBMD, the births of just two people named Asa Robinson were registered in Enmgland & Wales between 1883 and 1889, i.e. coinciding with a circa-1904 to 1923 playing career, they are; Asa Robinson (birth registered April→June 1883 in Clitheroe district), and Asa Garnett Robinson (birth registered October→December 1884 in Sheffield district), are either of these Asa Robinson? Asa Garnett Robinson appears to have been born, married, and died in Sheffield district, i.e. no links to Halifax, whereas according to FreeBMD, an Asa Robinson married Ann Isabel Goldthorpe during July→September 1909 in Halifax district, and died aged-40 (indicating a circa-1883/84 birth) during October→December 1924 in Halifax district, and so is more likley to be Asa Robinson.
