Im Making an attempt at writing this article.About Adam from Saw 1.Never done a wiki Article before.Hope to learn.Hopefully someone may see it within a short amount of time. With more knowledge than i Do.And Spiff the article Up. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AeroZepplin (talk • contribs) 12:51, November 13, 2006 (UTC)
- With a biographical article you need to start by using third party reliable sources to confirm the notability of this subject. As you say he is in a major movie this should not be hard. Our standards for biographical articles are stricter than other articles, especially when the subject is still alive.
- Every fact must be sourced to an external source or it will be removed, or the article can even be deleted. See Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons for details. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 21:03, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Im Doing my best To Link the sources. To web it to Other Articles. No One seems to like my article though Haha —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AeroZepplin (talk • contribs) 13:23, November 13, 2006 (UTC)
- I am glad you are taking this in good humour. In all seriousness I think this article has great potential. I want to see it stay, which is why I am pushing for references, as it will be deleted by someone eventually if not. Thanks for trying, I am sure when the admin who looks at the speedy delete request sees your delcared intention to find sources that that admin may hold off for a while. HighInBC (Need help? Theres SO MUCH more information on the Character than i can gather Or find a way to Intrestingly Put down. And im not quite sure on how to attain some of the headers to make the article seem less Amateur..All though haha im not sure i can avoid that — Preceding unsigned comment added by AeroZepplin (talk • contribs) 13:32, November 13, 2006 (UTC)
- Don't worry about information regarding the character you cannot find sources for because original research is not allowed here as it goes outside of what an encyclopedia should include. Anything that cannot be cited should be left out. As for the format of the article do no worry, I will place a tag on the article that will encourage other editors to format it. One tip, after you leave a message on a talk page you should sign it by leaving for tildes like so: ~~~~. This will put your name and the time you posted there. This should not be done in an article though. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 21:37, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
That sounds good.I was wondering how to leave a Signature. It keeps saying Unsigned. So now i know Hopefully.Ill try and put some more down at the moment and then i may Leave.Hopefully the article isnt deleted. But then again i cant be sure of timeframes as i havnt really edited this much before AeroZepplin 21:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
I added One of the little boxes linking to other Saw character Articles And Possibly creating a reference?

I kind of did a rewrite of this article. Basically putting it into a more standard wikipedia format and adding some basic info, but it still needs a lot of work and I don't have a ton of time. I might work on it later, but for now details in his role in the films could be added. Also consider WP:WAF, if you need help writing the article.-Lindsey8417 08:01, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
I noticed you added,That when adam tried to shoot Jigsaw with Zep's Handgun the gun was empty and then Adam was shocked.I saw(ironically the other day) LaLaLa joke. The same part. And he never had a chance to fire the gun.As he was shocked Immediatly, then the gun sort of..FLEW out of his hands somewhere across the room.Leading me to belive that if he still had the gun nearby he could of shot through his chain. At some point.Just speculation.Maybe a loophole. Thanks for fixing up the page though:D

Re-Added?
[edit]Well, this article, as well as Jeff Reinhart, Detective Eric Matthews, and Lynn Denlon have been re-made. The only one that was re-made and re-merged was Lawrence Gordon (Saw). Even though these were ALL voted to be merged, should Lawrence's article be re-made again? Jack Of Hearts | Miss A Turn 02:42, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]This and Dr Gordon's article really don't have a lot of information. If it weren't for the bit on the actors opinions they'd be little more than overblown plot summaries. Any objections to something like "Adam and Dr. Gordon"? --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 22:45, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- None from me. Maybe it could be "Adam Faulkner and Lawrence Gordon".--CyberGhostface 22:54, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm, I agree that these articles give a lot of the same info and detailed plot stuff, but somehow, I just can't see an Adam/Gordon page. I could see another "Family" page concerning the Gordons, like the Reinharts, but that wouldn't solve this problem. Adam has his own info that doesn't concern Gordon, while Gordon's page is just dead unless they release something more on his character. Jack Of Hearts | Miss A Turn 09:20, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Put the info on the relevant movie summary pages and delete the articles. Half this article is repeated on the page for the first Saw movie. Lots42 15:40, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm just saying even if ya guys delete the parges that I think they should not be one. Bouth gordan and adam have some much info and just joining the pages would just be getting rid of all that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.82.9.108 (talk) 01:41, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
IMO, I strongly believe that these should remain separate pages from each other. Although Adam has significantly more information, due to his appearance in Saw and in Saw III, I don't think we should downplay the importance of the good doctor himself. I do support Lots42's suggestion about creating a "family" article for the Gordons. Bass Checkkkk 05:34, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
I agree with keeping them separate, but making a "family" on for Lawrence. Though his wife and daughter are not exactly key characters though out the whole series, it would still add more flavor to Lawrence's page, other than just repeating everything on Adam's page. i needa change —Preceding comment was added at 01:14, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Amandawithadam.jpg
