Simeon Barrow Jr. (born July 6, 2002) is an American football defensive lineman for the Miami Hurricanes. He previously played for the Michigan State Spartans.
Early life and high school
[edit]Coming out of high school, Barrow was rated as a three star recruit, where he held offers from schools such as Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Missouri, Georgia Southern and Troy.[1] Ultimately, Barrow committed to play college football for the Michigan State Spartans.[2][3]
College career

[edit]In Barrow's first collegiate season in 2020, he decided to opt-out of the season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.[4] In week five of the 2021 season, Barrow totaled seven tackles and half a sack, as he helped Michigan State to a win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers.[5] During the 2021 season, Barrow totaled 34 tackles with four being for a loss, three sacks, a pass deflection, and a forced fumble.[6] Barrow finished the 2022 season, tallying 40 tackles with nine being for a loss, four sacks, and a fumble recovery.[7] In week eight of the 2023 season, Barrow recorded two tackles versus rival Michigan.[8] During the 2023 season, Barrow notched 36 tackles with five and a half being for a loss, three and a half sacks, a forced fumble, and two blocked kicks.[9] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Barrow decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[10][11]
