Jonathan Hayden[3] (born February 20, 1987)[4] is an American actor. He is best known for his work in the ABC comedy-drama series The Catch (2016–17) and the Grey's Anatomy spinoff Station 19, both produced by Shondaland, and also has a recurring role in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Early life and education

Hayden was born in Northfield, Vermont,[2] and is of half-Irish and half-Korean descent.[5] He won a soccer scholarship to the University of Vermont, where he was an English major but realized that acting was his primary interest; he moved to Los Angeles after graduation to pursue an acting career.[5]

Career

In film, Hayden had a major role in The House Bunny (2008)[2] and the lead role in the 2011 horror film State of Emergency.[6] He has since appeared in Wild Oats and the sports comedy Undrafted (both 2016).[2]

On TV, he starred in the Hulu comedy mockumentary series Battleground in 2012.[7] He had a regular role on The Catch,[8][9] and recurring roles on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and SEAL Team.[2][10] He was a series regular in the Grey's Anatomy spinoff Station 19 from 2018 to 2024.[2][11]

His TV commercial appearances include the Amazon Kindle Mayday ads.[12]

In September 2024, Deadline announced Hayden will play Agent Tyler Booth in FBI: International.[13]

Other work

Hayden is co-owner of David Vincent, a construction company.[5]

Personal life

Hayden married actress Nikki Danielle Moore in June 2005; they were divorced in 2021. They have a son and a daughter.[14]
