Hungarian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]maga (“you”, polite) + -éi (non-attributive possessive suffix, plural)
Pronunciation
[edit]Pronoun
[edit]magáéi
- (rare) yours (those which belong to you ― singular possessor, multiple possessions, formal)
- (rare) his/her own possessions (those which belong to himself or herself)
Usage notes
[edit]Since the -éi suffix is seen as pedantic, usually the corresponding form with a single -é is used instead in casual speech (here: magáé), even for multiple possessions.
