Latin declension

According to both the running text and e.g. http://dcc.dickinson.edu/sites/all/files/3rd_decl_Greek_noun_0.jpg the Greek-like plural accusative form should be "baseis" rather than "basis" from the table. Since the table is created automatically, somehow, I am not sure how to correct / add this. Anyone?Redav (talk) 20:44, 1 October 2017 (UTC)

@Redav: Notice that we do mention baseis as an alternative form of basīs in the note just above the declension table. Now it's possible that it should go into the table and replace basīs entirely, but I'm not sure. The Greek-based Latin declensions are always very vacillating. --Barytonesis (talk) 21:01, 1 October 2017 (UTC)

@Barytonesis: Orgininally I assumed that the form basīs in the table was a misrepresentation of the Greek-based form baseis. As far as I understand now, it was probably never meant to indicate the form baseis, but rather one possible form according to the mixed i-stem declension. I can confirm that Peter V. Jones and Keith C. Sidwell (Reading Latin, →ISBN, Paragraph H6 (p 499)) too give indications of vacillation.Redav (talk) 12:43, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
