Is this a true suffix? DonnanZ (talk) 22:05, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
As ford can be traced back to Old English I don't think there is a good argument for keeping the suffix, unlike -ton. DonnanZ (talk) 08:45, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
- Delete. This is simply a noun, used as the second component of some compounds that became proper nouns. The noun berry is similarly used in angleberry, blueberry, cranberry, ...; that does not make -berry a suffix. --Lambiam 09:09, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
