[edit]Borrowed from Gujarati સૌરાષ્ટ્ર (saurāṣṭra, “Saurashtra”) or its etymon Sanskrit सौराष्ट्र (saurāṣṭra, “from Saurashtra”), vriddhi form of सुराष्ट्र (surāṣṭra, “Saurashtra”), from सु- (su-, “good”) + राष्ट्र (rāṣṭra, “realm, dominion”).
