[edit]From Sicilian Cunigghiuni or Curliuni, from Aragonese Coriglione or Conillon, from Norman Coraigliòn, from Latin Curilionum, from Arabic قُرْلِيُون (qurliyūn), from Ancient Greek Κουρουλλουνέ (Kouroullouné). Alternatively from Latin *Corleōne, from cor (“heart”) + leōnis (“of the lion”).
