Description The Sega SG-1000 II (also sometimes called the SG-1000 Mark II), Sega's first video game console that was released in Japan in 1984. This is a revision of the first model, which added removable joypad controllers and moved the expansion port to the front. Based off of the Zilog Z80, the console's graphics were comparable to the ColecoVision. It was replaced by a revised version, the SG-1000 Mark III, only a year later.
