Description
English: North Windmill in Golden Gate Park. Built in 1903, it was used to pump water throughout the park. The blades seen here were used to carry canvas sails. The smaller wind wheel was connected to gearing that rotates the main blades into the wind. Image by User:SamuelWantman. See also: 100px
