All uploaded by User:EditGirl99. These magazine covers are not the uploader's own work, and appear to contain copyrightable art. No evidence provided why they wouldn't still be under copyright in the United States. --Wikiacc (talk) 07:55, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Wikiacc: They are photos of magazine covers, with attributions to original artists and publisher. If that is in breach, it would seem to me that lowering the resolution and shrinking them for fair use is appropriate. The article is about a highly influential, but obscure, visual arts magazine, which is why it seems showing some of the art is especially appropriate. Thoughts? Thank you. - Hi EditGirl99, if you'd like to take that route, the process is as follows:
- Read the English Wikipedia fair use policy
- Re-upload the images on the English Wikipedia using the "Upload locally to Wikipedia" option at w:Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard. (I recommend using the same file names.)
- In the upload wizard, select the "fair use" option and write a detailed case for why the policy's requirements are met.
- Feel free to reach out to me or Media Copyright Questions. Wikiacc (talk) 02:05, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
