English: Tōjō Kōichi, Tōjō is the family name, is a Japanese poet and novelist. He was born on 7 April, 1915 in Kanuma in Tochigi prefecture and suffered from Hansen's disease in his early years to be hospitalized in Zenshō Hospital in 1933. He is known as the best friend of Hōjō Tamio, who was also a novelist. He became blind in his late years and died on 4 September, 1942.
