English: Ballinskelligs ( meaning homestead of the rocks) or home of the monks is a village in the south-west of the Iveragh peninsula (Uíbh Ráthach) in the Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) region of County Kerry, Ireland. The rocks in question are Skellig Michael (Sceilg Mhichíl) and Little Skellig, an ancient monastic colony which lies off the coast from Ballinskellings. The town is also the site of an attractive beach and ruins of a priory of Augustinian Canons Regular, now in ruins, and the remains of a Mac Carthy castle.
Euskara: Ballinskelligs ingeleraz eta Baile na Sceilge irlanderaz ("Harrien kokalekua") Irlandako Errepublikako hego-mendebaldean kokatzen den Kerryko konderrian dagoen udalerria da. Kerryko Iveragh penintsulako (Uíbh Ráthach) Gaeltacht eremuan (irlandera hiztunen eremua) kokatzen da. Aipatutako harriak Skellig Michael (Sceilg Mhichíl) eta Little Skellig uharteak dira, hauetan Ballinskellings udalerriko kostaldetik hat itsasoratu eta uharte horietan ezarri zen komunitate monastiko baten egoitza izan zirelarik.
