English: Synagogue – The first Óbuda synagogue was built around 1732. Present temple was built between 1820 and 1821, in Classicist style to designs by András Landherr. A curiosity of the interior was its asymmetric form, as a result of which it was reckoned a “stumpy basilica”. The interior created in Art Nouveau style in 1900. It functioned as a synagogue until the late 1960s, then it was used by the Hungarian TV as a studio. Since 2010 it has been used in accordance with its original purpose.
