[edit]This image is from WikiCommons. The info with it says Ju 46, which it clearly isn't. It also says on board the Europa. A wee bit of gamma correction shows the underwing serial as D-191?, so it is the He58, in line with Europa. You can make out parts of "Bremen" down the side, the "e" being very easily read. Looking at the GoldenYears rebuilt German register http://www.goldenyears.ukf.net/ suggests that Bremen were the owners and Atlantic the aircraft name.
It all seems right except that our text says the He 58 had a cowled engine; not on this occasion. I could convince myself that the two guys on the plane are standing side by side in its cockpit.TSRL (talk) 14:18, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Specifications
[edit]The top and cruise speeds for the He 12 are incongruent; cruise speed being significantly higher than top speed as the article stands. Should probably be looked into. --Stizzleswick (talk) 00:42, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
- Apologies for the 10-year late reply! The source figure of 134 mph top speed had been entered as kilometres per hour. Nimbus (Cumulus nimbus floats by) 17:34, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
