Marco Mintaka is a South African actor known for American Monster (2016), What Lies Beneath (2018) and Hello Au Revoir (2021). He was born on October 18, 1978 in South Africa and is of Mediterranean decent. He is married since 2001 and has a son.
Mintaka's passion for drama first began when he was just seven years old - appearing in school plays, street dramas and magic shows. In 1999 he completed his acting studies through Trinity College, London where he then went on to perform in a number of shows. In 2000, Mintaka was nominated for Best Actor in the Showtime Awards for his lead role in Romeo & Juliet and Best Supporting Actor by the Guild of Speech & Drama South Africa for his role in Someone Who'll Watch Over Me. He is also an award winning Public Speaker and Debater.
Since 2010 Mintaka has appeared in several film and television roles and has worked alongside international stars including: Rufus Jones (W1A (2014)), Ashley Dowds (Chiến Binh (2019)), Mhairi Calvey (Robert the Bruce (2019)) and Jack Devnarain (Liberty (2018)).
