Happy Heart Day, everyone! It's been a pretty busy day for Rose and I. Belle had asked if she could pull a full shift at the library, so after a pretty lazy morning at the apartment, I ended up going out for a drive around Hau'oli - which turned into a trip over to Makani Town to pick up some chocolates. Sure, there's plenty of candy shops right in the city, but a pal of mine works at a locally-run, bean-to-bar place out there that I knew would be perfect for the job. Besides, it's a holiday, right?

...granted, I ended up spending way too much time there chatting and debating over chocolate, and then I had to scramble to the Hau'oli Library before it closed for the day. But I made it just in time, so I was able to play it off as a surprise pick-up. Hooray! :3p

Anyway, happy Valentines Day, as well! I'd actually finished most of this background way back during New Years (all I needed to do was fill the bookcases), and I ended up picking it up again to turn it into a Valentines doodle. Like I said on the New Years doodle, this one was thankfully a lot easier to work on, despite the fact that Bill and Rose's poses have a little more going on than usual, not to mention everyone's clothes. I spent more time than I'd like to admit agonizing over everyone's bodyshapes, even though the clothes, tails, and arms cover a lot of it up. Still, I had a lot of fun with this, and I'm proud of myself for managing to get it out on-time this time! :U
