David Peter White(I)
- Actor
David Peter White began his career as a morning radio announcer in the 80's and 90's, taking him to 13 States over the course of 20 years. In 1994 Joel and Ethan Coen were looking for actors for their 'Hudsucker Proxy' film in North Carolina. White, working radio in Wilmington at the time decided on a whim to audition. He landed a speaking role in the film, using his radio name (Ace O'Connell) for the credits. During his radio career, White hosted a weekly Top 40 TV show in Monroe, LA. In the early 2000's White transitioned from radio into television as a news journalist at KOSA TV. While there, he was given his own daily television show on the new and upcoming CW network. The show consisted of a satirical look at current events both locally and on the national level. In the last few years, White has done dozens of BG gigs, and a few speaking roles. A recent independent film, 'The Lives We Make' (directed by Jake Vriezelaar & Emmanuel Terrell) featured White as Pastor Bill. In the works are several speaking role film projects, one of which includes a recurring role in the Amber Oak series, with White contracted to appear in 3 episodes as 'Mayor Colbert' (directed by Ceara Comeau) do out in 2025. He will also appear as a family member (speaking role) in Friday the 13th Blood Loss. In his spare time, White likes hiking the high peaks of the Adirondacks in upstate NY, and playing guitar. "Somebody heard me sing once and told me I sounded like an 'in tune' Bob Dylan. I'm not sure if that was a compliment or not," said White.
