Nicholas Jeremy Rossiter (17 July 1961, Litton, Somerset – 23 July 2004, London) was an English television producer. He was arts producer for the BBC from 1987 to 2004.
Education
[edit]Rossiter was educated at Downside School,[1] a Catholic boarding independent school in the village of Stratton-on-the-Fosse (near the market town of Shepton Mallet) in Somerset, in South West England, followed by Greyfriars at the University of Oxford, where he read Modern History.[1]
Career
[edit]Rossiter worked for the BBC from 1985 until his death. Nick researched for Newsnight, Heart Of The Matter, Out Of Court and Look North; in 1986, he was selected for the corporation's production trainee scheme.[2] He moved to the arts department in 1987, and directed the film The Secret Life of Mona Lisa.[2]
Family
[edit]Rossiter married Bea Ballard, daughter of novelist J. G. Ballard in 1995 they had two daughters.
Death
[edit]Rossiter died of heart failure in London on 23 July 2004, six days after his 43rd birthday.[3]
