Merging

Recently, 2010srock (talk · contribs) redirected this page to List of The X Factor finalists (U.S. season 2)#Carly Rose Sonenclar without reason, even though her career extends beyond The X Factor. I would like editors to discuss whether this page should be kept or not. ZappaOMati 02:03, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

NEVER loose your integrity with spam like that, Carly will become the greatest singer, actress of this millenum. u see. SHE is not a COMMERCIAL list product. Andre Lesage 10/11/201270.53.90.209 (talk) 12:40, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. I think everyone can agree that, since her credits include multiple broadway roles and a leading role in a television show in addition to The X Factor, the article should not be merged. Not entirely sure why 2010srock thought a merge was appropriate in this case. 121.218.233.103 (talk) 07:22, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I agree with the comment above. "I think everyone can agree that, since her credits include multiple broadway roles and a leading role in a television show in addition to The X Factor, the article should not be merged."Jaskemr (talk) 17:08, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge, I think it should be merged, because a lot of the other x factor contestants has done movies and voice overs (diamond white, Beatrice Miller), and seriously how important is it really to have a separate article for her! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.89.82.236 (talk) 22:32, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Her article existed long before the X-Factor. She merits a page based on her Broadway experience alone. Her career has spanned film, stage and television and she is featured prominently on the cast recording to the musical Wonderland... it's not like she's a nobody :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.161.227.119 (talk) 01:54, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Her page existed in 2011 before the competition. It fits the notability criteria as said above. Other contestants having done movies and voice-overs does not merit this merger; if those others are notable, just write a wiki page for them instead. Maine12329 (talk) 09:11, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I think we have debated this issue enough and the consensus is clearly to keep it as is... I motion to retain this page as a separate page as voted on per the majority of the editors that follow this topic. Given the fact Carly was revealed as #1 this week, we need to put this issue to rest. Jaskemr (talk) 14:45, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. ::I'm just so sick of people redirecting [[List of The X Factor finalists (U.S. season 2)] ] articles. Carly Rose Sonenclar is not more important than other The X Factor finalists because others too have seen in movies and broadway shows and have popular fan bases too just like her so she really doesn't stand put too much over the other contestants. If you think Carly Rose Sonenclar article should be alive then fine so be it there's nothing much I can really do about it. Although I will say this if her article should stay alive then I think other articles should stay alive as well such articles like Fifth Harmony. So please I'm begging you help me keep this article alive Fifth Harmony. I will not delete Carly Rose Sonenclar or merge it to [List of The X Factor finalists (U.S. season 2)#Carly Rose Sonenclar] ]. I just need your help and support of keeping others alive as well I just think it's only fair interns. User:2010srock 02:50, 27 November 2012

Wiki says Carly Rose sings the song "Somewhere over the rainbow." It is common knowledge the correct title is "Over the rainbow." Cites are obvious to anyone who wants to google it. It was Brittany that even introduced the song incorrectly! Do a wiki search on "Over the Rainbow" for author and history. 98.189.254.66 (talk) 12:17, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Boot Camp Day 1

[edit]

It's stated that After her successful initial audition, she advanced through the first day of X Factor's "bootcamp," where she sang "Pumped Up Kicks with Beatrice Miller". But the table below shows that was the third boot camp and not the first one. On The X-Factor Youtube channel, the song's title is ["Boot Camp 2: Carly Rose Sonenclar vs. Beatrice Miller ..."]. Not sure if this was really the second boot camp or because the second one wasn't aired. --Nosignleft (talk) 10:06, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

sources

[edit]

Per a BLP discussion about her Jewishness, there was an issue of sourcing. I found the following sources if anyone wants to use them.

I also provided a few others at User talk:ZappaOMati#Carly Rose Sonenclar reference to non-authoritative source. ZappaOMati 23:31, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Acting career

[edit]

Any particular reason why Law and Order:SVU was not included among the list of her TV guest appearances? She seems to have been part of the cast in the episode entitled "Dissonant Voices". Coincidentally, Hulu notes it as Season 15, Episode 6 while Wikipedia's list of episodes has it as Season 15, Episode 7. -- Kabesang Tales (talk) 06:12, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Feeling Good

[edit]

The article currently has different original artists for Feeling Good in its two appearances - Nina Simone and Cy Grant. I understand why (Grant was the first to perform the song, but Simone's is the most remembered), but don't think it should be like that. Should we include both at both places ? Or what ? -- Beardo (talk) 04:33, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
