Two systems
[edit]The current formatter URL is directing to the VIAF page and it requires an Id of 12 digits. However, it seems to me that the Hungarian national library uses other Id's on their page, e.g.
- István Szerdahelyi (Q763890) => 000000004602 => http://viaf.org/processed/NSZL%7C000000004602
- István Szerdahelyi (Q763890) => 37277 => http://nektar.oszk.hu/resource/auth/37277
Which of the two systems should we use? Or should we create a new property for the second format? --Pasleim (talk) 08:55, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
This is behind any reasons, and fully pointless to have in two separate properties the same VIAF identifier (P214) With this property using it in this this form You could reach only the VIAF record ! If some one want to reach the original Hungarian authority property dates. The Hungarian national library uses own Id's on their pages. The VIAT id’s should be changed with the Hungarian national library Id-s.--Texaner (talk) 16:46, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Texaner: Meanwhile, NSZL name authority ID (P3133) was created. That means, this property keeps linking to the VIAF record and NSZL name authority ID (P3133) links to the Hungarian national library record. --Pasleim (talk) 20:36, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
I am not interested more, do you what you want! --Texaner (talk) 21:04, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
two examples display problem
[edit]I wanted to contrast NSZL (VIAF) ID (P951) and NSZL name authority ID (P3133), so I gave examples of each in the Property Examples section.
But the WD software can't display them properly at present, more importantly the links are missing/wrong.
If this can't be fixed easily, I should split each example in two (i.e. repeat the object) --Vladimir Alexiev (talk) 08:49, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
