Ionathan Baxter Harrison (in Greene Comitatu Ohii 5 Aprilis 1835Franklin Novae Hantoniae 17 Iunii 1907) fuit minister Unitarianus et diurnalista qui in multis eius temporis causis socialibus implicatus est, inter quae abolitionismus, iura Indianorum, cura silvarum, et culturalis operariorum progressus. Verisimilibus vitae quotidianae Americanae depictionibus innotuit, multumque valere putatur apud explicationem realismi litterarii.[1] Anno 1889, Universitas Harvardiana ei gradum Artium Magistri honoris causa concessit.[2] Inter suis fuerunt Gulielmus Dean Howells, Carolus Eliot Norton, et Fridericus Law Olmsted.
