Edward Maurice Charles Marsan[1] (lahir 9 Juni 1968) merupakan seorang aktor Britania Raya. Ia dikenal sebagai aktor dalam film Gangster No. 1 (2000), Ultimate Force (2002), Mission: Impossible III (2006), Sixty Six (2006), V for Vendetta (2006), Hancock (2008), Happy-Go-Lucky (2008), Sherlock Holmes (2009), War Horse (2011), Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), The Best of Men (2012) dam The World's End (2013).
Latar belakang
[sunting | sunting sumber]Eddie Marsan lahir di Stepney, London, dari keluarga kelas pekerja. Ayahnya merupakan seorang sopir truk dan ibunya merupakan seorang asisten guru.[2][3] Ia dibesarkan di Bethnal Green dan menempuh pendidikan di Raine Foundation School.[4]
Ia meninggalkan sekolah pada usia 16 tahun dan mulanya ia bekerja magang di perusahaan penerbitan sebelum ia memulai kariernya di teater dan pindah ke dunia televisi dan film.[3] Ia menempuh pendidikan di Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, lulus pada tahun 1991 dan melanjutkan pendidikannya di bawah bimbingan Sam Kogan[5] dan The Kogan Academy of Dramatic Arts di mana Eddie adalah seorang penyokong.
Ia menikah dengan Janine Schneider yang bekerja sebagai penata rias. Mereka memiliki empat anak.[6]
