Muhammad Sani Abacha. An haife shi ne a ranar 20, ga watan Satumba, a shekara ta alif ɗari tara da arba'in da uku (1943A.C) Miladiyya.[1] Shi tsohon Janar ne na soja. Haifaffen Kano[2], da ke Arewacin Najeriya (a yau jihar Kano). Ya kuma mutu a ranan talata 8, ga watan Yuni a shekara ta alif ɗari tara da chasa'in da takwas 1998.[3] Sani Abacha shugaban Ƙasar Najeriya[4] ne daga watan Nuwamba, a shekarar alif ɗari tara da chasa'in da uku 1993, zuwa watan Yuni shekarar alif ɗari tara da chasa'in da takwas 1998, (bayan Ernest Shonekan - kafin Abdulsalami Abubakar).[5]

Sani Abacha ya kasance shugaban hafsan sojojin ƙasa na Najeriya, tun daga shekarar alif ɗari tara da tamanin da biyar 1985, zuwa shekarar ta alif ɗari tara da chasa'in dai-dai 1990. sannan kuma shugaban tsaron Najeriya daga shekarar alif ɗari tara da chasa'in dai-dai 1990, har zuwa shekara ta alif ɗari tara da chasa'in da uku 1993, sannan daga bisani kuma Ministan Tsaro na ƙasa.

A ranar 8, ga watan Yuni a shekarar alif ɗari tara da chasa'in da takwas 1998, Abacha ya rasu a fadar shugaban ƙasa ta Aso Rock Villa dake Abuja[6].
