[edit]Etymology
[edit]perse + -o, derived from perse (“arse”).[1] Compare dialectal makeaperse (“sweet-toothed person”, literally “sweet ass”), colloquial herkkuperse and e.g. olla makean perään (“to be greedy for sweet”, literally “to be after sweet”).

Usage notes

- perso is mostly used of greed or desire for something which one considers to bring pleasure or be attractive, rather than for e.g. material wealth.
