[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish بالخاصه (bilhassa),[1] from Arabic بِالْخَاصَّة (bi-l-ḵāṣṣa), from بِـ (bi-) + اَلْ (al-) + خَاصَّة (ḵāṣṣa),[2] equivalent to bil- + hassa (“specialty, feature”).
