[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀡𑀡𑀁𑀤𑀸 (ṇaṇaṃdā), from Sanskrit ननान्दृ (nánāndṛ), ननन्दृ (nanandṛ). Cognate with Nepali नन्द (nanda), Gujarati નણંદ (naṇand), Sindhi نِڻُن / निणुन, Marathi नणंद (naṇanda).
