Usage notes
[edit]- Unlike Mandarin 那 (nà), Cantonese 嗰 (go2) cannot be used alone without a following classifier.
- In the now-obsolete 简化字总表, 個-个 is listed in the first table in which non-analogizable pairs of simplified and traditional Chinese characters are collected. In the current standard 通用规范汉字表, neither 嗰 nor 𠮶 is listed. Therefore, 𠮶 is a nonstandard simplified form. However, it is still widely used in Cantonese dictionaries published in Mainland China.
