Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Maharashtra|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Maharashtra. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

Delete Unsurpring it's Pppery again nominating an article I worked on just yesterday as it invoked this category I'm currently patrolling alongside autopatrollers, Category:Pages with templates in the wrong namespace, foe deletion. I then sent it to RMTR because of the Arshin Mehta (Actress) title which I ain't surprised due to seeing that it was salted (due to 3 creations and 3 admin deletions within November and December 2017) and it was posed as though I'm part of a hidden scheme just to have an article here with this title whatever it takes when in fact it isn't. Delete. Very minor actress with no significant and notable roles. Fails WP:NACTOR. Sources are mostly unreliable and one that is not secondary independent and some others poor with no significant coverage on the subject but just passing mention. I have failed to find any independent and secondary coverage of this company, much less anything that would meet WP:CORPDEPTH, just database listings and self-published sources such as social media profiles. I draftified it but it was returned to mainspace, so draftification isn't an option here – besides, I do not think that sources exist at this point.

Article fails WP:NORG, WP:GNG and no WP:SIGCOV. A company, corporation or organization is presumed notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Delete the article has been unsourced since its creation. A few IPs have blanked the content in the past claiming that "the company doesn't exist or has shut down". It was surprising that my search yielded no reliable sources. Uttar Bhartiya Vikas Sena

The only notability this new political party has is that it seeks to present an imprisoned gangster, Lawrence Bishnoi, as a political candidate. This is very recent news. All of the sources are either about that or about Bishnoi himself. None has any significant coverage of either the party or of Shukla, the founder of the party. Although not relevant to the notability of the party, I'm very curious as to why the party would sponsor a convicted murderer as a candidate for the Indian Assembly election. Delete. The sources that discuss the party's contacting Lawrence Bishnoi all say essentially the same thing, and are almost certainly based on the same press release – and even if they were written independently, they still don't represent anything approaching significant coverage of the org. There is also a recently-added source about a banner campaign by the party (added as two sources in the article, but actually just one, 1, 2) but that is entirely based on statements from the party, so not independent and not secondary. --bonadea contributions talk 19:07, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete I agree with the nominator that this company lacks significant coverage. Pages of other companies or brands under this group–POPxo, MissMalini.com, The Moms Co and BabyChakra–have similar issues, with none of them appearing individually notable. Keep: I am not very certain about the other pages discussed above, but this page could be kept, considering it is a unicorn startup and has been widely covered in the news. The page had been heavily edited by IPs adding promotional material, which I have made efforts to remove and neutralize the tone as much as possible.
