Speedy deletion nomination of File:This is the logo owned by Asia Pulp & Paper for Asia Pulp & Paper.jpeg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:This is the logo owned by Asia Pulp & Paper for Asia Pulp & Paper.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 11:55, 6 June 2024 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Orrb device by Lee McCormack.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Orrb device by Lee McCormack.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mdann52 (talk) 14:54, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
- ok, is this file not for non-free use rationale. I have to reupload again to Commons? Not sure. I have asked in the Media copyright questions page. Techy.Sap (talk) 10:26, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Techy.Sap. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Techy.Sap. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Techy.Sap|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Bilby (talk) 13:04, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Bilby,
- Thanks for reaching out. I am new and active here but I am working hard to learn to edit and create pages in Wikipedia which is my work of interest, experienced editors have also helped me through the process in LiveChat & TeaHouse, even the first Wiki article I created also went through the AfC process, I choose topics which interest me and also try to edit pages which are latest but I am not sure, should I stop editing frequently same page. Please help and guide. Techy.Sap (talk) 13:38, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- The main thing you will need to do is add {{paid|user=Techy.Sap|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}} to your usepage for the jobs you have done and any you might do in the future. The community asks that you mention both the name of the article and identify who you were hired by. Other than that, in general it is asked that you do not edit pages directly, but instead post edit requests to the talk pages of articles where you are being paid, and, as mentioned above, continue to use Articles for Creation, as I see you did for Orrb. Otherwise it is not easy doing paid edits, but it is possible. The main thing that becomes a problem is when people take jobs for articles or edits which don't fit Wikipedia policies, so I think that the main thing in being successful is to choose clients carefully. - Bilby (talk) 13:53, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
