Feminine Rhymes
[edit]I think the mention that "Kool G's style of multi syllable use isn't followed as strictly" as it used to be is completely wrong. I can name atleast 40 artists who use multis to the degree Kool did, and even elevate them. Eminem, Cormega, Louis Logic, Celph Titled, Cage, Guru of Gangstarr, Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks, MF Doom, Phonte of Little Brother, Masta Ace (who I also would like to say revolutionized the usage of multis), Talib Kweli, Akrobatik, Non Phixion, OneBeLo, Organized Konfusion, Percee P, Shad K and a ton more. Just seems like that statement was one sided... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.249.78.83 (talk) 01:51, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
some of those are just reginonal/internet/unknown rappers. are you really prepared to say that louis logic or OneBeLo have contributed as much as guru, eminem, kweli, ace or even doom? no. a lot of those people don't deserve to be mentioned in the same list as the important artists. hell you might as well throw your name in there too since we're just naming any and everyone who uses multi(fucking)syllables.
Tec 9/tech
[edit]I think that the word following "I sway the" in the first line of example verse is 'Tec as in [Infra]tec 9[mm], rather than tech as in technology. Tim Ivorson 2006-07-13

I removed the above, but perhaps it should be tidied up and put back. Tim Ivorson 2006-07-24

Fair use rationale for Image:Koolgwanted.jpg
[edit]Image:Koolgwanted.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:33, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Song sample info
[edit]I added in what one of his big songs (Road to the Riches) was sampled from, since this is an encyclopedia. It took some looking before I found one mention of a song called "Stiletto"; sure enough, that's the sample that's used for "Road to the Riches". I'm not saying he copied it or anything (I'm a fan of both), but people come on here to look stuff like that up. Zchris87v 15:28, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Aesop Rock Influenced
[edit]From his song Holy Smokes, "grandma was a saint while he’d paint with snakes a bullies said, “If only you memorized your prayers like you did your Kool G” —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.147.194.126 (talk) 00:12, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Wife and Child
[edit]Im not sure if Kool G and Karinne were married or just have a baby together, but I added a reference which suggest they were married and then divorced. GarbledLecture933 (talk) 03:03, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
